Chelsea FPL assets: starters, prices, ownership

Top FPL picks at CHE

João Pedro is the standout Chelsea asset right now. At £7.5m, with 174 points, 39.0% ownership and 2478 minutes, he combines output, minutes and strong market trust. Even with a modest 2.5 form, his season-long total is comfortably the best in this squad. He looks like the safest route into Chelsea attack.

Palmer still belongs in the top tier on upside alone. The price is steep at £10.4m, but 102 points in just 1686 minutes is elite per-minute production. His 14.0% ownership shows managers still respect the ceiling. If his minutes stabilise, he can quickly become the best premium Chelsea pick again.

Sánchez is a strong set-and-forget goalkeeper option. At £4.8m, he has delivered 109 points across 2860 minutes, with 10.9% selection. That volume matters for keepers, and he has been one of Chelsea’s most dependable starters.

In defence, Cucurella and James are the names to focus on, but for different reasons. Cucurella’s 101 points, 2436 minutes and 14.6% ownership point to a reliable starter with broad appeal. James, at £5.6m, has 113 points in only 1892 minutes, which hints at a bigger attacking ceiling, but the lower minutes total is the warning flag.

Mid-tier and budget options

Enzo is one of the clearest value picks in the Chelsea squad. At £6.5m, he has returned 135 points in 2844 minutes and sits at just 10.7% ownership. He is not explosive, his current 1.5 form confirms that, but he offers excellent season-long value for managers who want a nailed midfield option.

Neto is a viable mid-priced differential. He costs £7.0m, has 114 points and 2477 minutes, yet is owned by only 4.1%. That profile makes him useful for rank chasing, especially if you want exposure to Chelsea’s attack without paying Palmer’s premium.

Caicedo is more of a stability pick than an upside one, but 105 points at £5.7m is still useful. His 2.2 form is better than several more popular teammates, and 2532 minutes suggests strong involvement. He fits best as a fifth midfielder in deeper squads.

At the back, Gusto stands out as the budget enabler. For £4.8m, he has posted 95 points in 2081 minutes. The ownership is only 1.9%, so there is some differential appeal if you believe his role remains secure. Fofana at £4.4m is cheaper, but 60 points from 1487 minutes is less convincing.

Avoid / fade

Chalobah has had a strong season on paper with 134 points in 2739 minutes, but at £5.4m he looks more like a points-chasing trap than a priority buy. His current 0.8 form is poor, and there are better Chelsea defenders for either upside or security.

Estêvão is an easy fade for now. At £6.4m, he has only 58 points from 839 minutes, with a weak 0.5 form. That is not enough production or game time for an FPL midfield slot.

James also belongs in the caution category for risk-averse managers. The output is good, but 0.0 form is a concern, and his minute load remains far below Sánchez, Enzo or Chalobah. He is a high-variance pick, not a safe one.

Captaincy potential

Palmer is still Chelsea’s best captaincy candidate because of ceiling. A player with 102 points in 1686 minutes can punish non-owners quickly, and his premium price reflects that explosive potential.

For safer captaincy, João Pedro is the better pick. His 174 points are the best in the squad by a distance, and his 2478 minutes suggest a much steadier role. He may not always have the same haul potential as Palmer, but he is the Chelsea player most managers should trust with the armband in favorable fixtures.

Outside those two, no Chelsea asset looks like a serious captaincy option. Enzo, Neto and the defenders are better viewed as supporting picks, not centerpiece captain choices.
