Fixture summary
Bournemouth only have three fixtures left, not six, so the outlook is short and quite clear. They face Fulham away in GW36, Man City at home in GW37, and Nott’m Forest away in GW38. That gives them an average FDR of 3.3, built from ratings of 3, 4 and 3. On the surface that is middling, but the split matters more than the average.
Two of the three are away matches, at Fulham and Forest, with the lone home game coming against Man City. That immediately caps clean sheet expectations, because the best fixture environment would usually be a home match against weaker opposition, and Bournemouth do not get that here. The obvious problem week is GW37, when the Cherries host City in an FDR 4 fixture. That is the clear bench or avoid spot for defensive investment.
The more encouraging stretch is either side of that. Fulham away and Forest away are both rated FDR 3, and both are playable for attacking returns. If you are targeting Bournemouth at all, it is really for GW36 and GW38, with GW37 something to manage around rather than attack.
FPL implications by position
Defence is where Bournemouth offer the clearest value, but probably not the highest ceiling. Marcos Senesi stands out on raw output with 161 points at £5.2m and a form figure of 6.0. Truffert is close behind on value at £4.7m, 146 points, also with 6.0 form. Hill is the budget route at £4.2m, with 100 points and 4.5 form. Those numbers suggest Bournemouth’s back line has been a reliable season-long source of returns, even if the final three fixtures are not a clean sweep of strong clean sheet opportunities.
Petrović at £4.6m, 112 points and 2.5 form is less convincing as a goalkeeper buy now. With Fulham away, City at home and Forest away, save volume may be there, but clean sheet confidence is limited. He looks more like a hold for current owners than a proactive transfer in.
In midfield, Scott is the most interesting pick. He has 128 points, costs just £5.1m, and comes in with 5.0 form. Tavernier is slightly pricier at £5.4m with 123 points, but his 3.5 form is a concern if you are buying for a short run. Scott looks the steadier budget enabler for managers chasing two playable away fixtures.
Up front, Evanilson is probably the headline attacker. At £6.7m for 110 points and 4.0 form, he sits in the awkward middle ground of being affordable enough to buy but not explosive enough to force the move. Kroupi.Jr is more intriguing from a value perspective, £4.6m, 101 points, 5.5 form. If he is getting minutes, that form and price make him a useful bench forward who can be started in GW36 and GW38.
Buy / hold / sell windows
Buy in GW36 if you want a short-term Bournemouth punt. Fulham away is decent enough for attacking picks, and buying before GW36 also gives you coverage for Forest away in GW38. The best buys are Scott, Senesi, Truffert and possibly Kroupi.Jr as a budget forward.
Hold through GW37 only if your squad can absorb a difficult fixture. Existing owners of Senesi or Truffert do not need to panic sell before Man City, especially if transfers are tight, but starting them that week is a different question. Attackers are easier holds than defenders because they still have two FDR 3 matches in the run.
Sell or bench in GW37 if you have luxury moves. Bournemouth defenders and Petrović are the most obvious players to move on before the Man City game. If you are Free Hitting or aggressively targeting upside, that is the week to step away.
Revisit for GW38 if chasing rank. Forest away is not an elite fixture, but it is good enough for one-week punts, especially budget attackers and attacking defenders.
Verdict
Wait, or selectively own. Bournemouth are not a team to load up on for the run-in, because one of the three fixtures is Man City and two of the three are away from home. But there is enough value in the squad to justify one calculated pick. Senesi and Truffert are the standout defensive options on season output, 161 and 146 points respectively, while Scott is the best midfield value at £5.1m with 128 points. For managers needing a cheap forward, Kroupi.Jr at £4.6m and 5.5 form is the most interesting differential. Buy for GW36 if you want coverage, bench or fade in GW37, then reassess for GW38.
