Top FPL picks at WHU
Jarrod Bowen is still the clear headline asset. Priced at £7.8m, listed here as a forward, and sitting on 171 points, he is comfortably West Ham’s best FPL option. The appeal is obvious, 13.3% ownership, 7.0 form, and a huge 3136 minutes. That minute security matters just as much as the output. If you want one West Ham attacker, Bowen is the only pick that looks close to essential.
Konstantinos Mavropanos deserves serious attention in defence. At £4.5m with 107 points, he is one of the better mid-price defenders in this squad, and his current 7.5 form is the best of any West Ham player listed. The ownership is still only 1.9%, so there is upside for managers chasing rank. With 2262 minutes, he looks more than just a short-term punt.
Mohammed Fernandes is the most interesting differential in midfield. At just £5.5m, he has produced 120 points across 2747 minutes, yet is owned by only 0.4%. The 3.2 form is not explosive, but the season-long tally says he can tick along as a fifth midfielder or rotation option.
Tomáš Souček also belongs in the conversation. He is slightly pricier at £5.7m, but has still delivered 97 points in only 1948 minutes. That points-per-minute profile is useful, and the 4.5 form suggests there is still some short-term life in the pick. At 0.4% ownership, he is very much a differential play.
Mid-tier and budget options
Diouf stands out as the best budget enabler. A defender at just £4.1m, with 96 points, 2436 minutes, and 2.4% ownership, he offers genuine squad value. The 3.5 form is not elite, but at that price you are mostly buying playable minutes and occasional returns. He looks like the safest cheap route into the West Ham back line.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, also £4.1m, will attract interest because of the price and the relatively decent 4.3% ownership. But the numbers are less convincing, 64 points, only 0.2 form, and 1928 minutes. He is more bench filler than active target right now.
Summerville at £5.5m is viable only if you want a very low-owned fifth midfielder. He has 101 points and 2200 minutes, but the 2.2 form is underwhelming. There is enough historical output to justify monitoring him, not enough current momentum to recommend a buy.
In goal, Hermansen is a curious cheap option at £4.2m. He has 62 points from 1350 minutes and a respectable 4.2 form, which is notably stronger than Areola, who has 51 points, 1800 minutes, and 0.0 form at the same £4.2m price. If picking a West Ham goalkeeper, Hermansen is the better short-term profile.
Avoid / fade
Lucas Paquetá is an easy fade for now. At £5.9m, 69 points, and 0.0 form, there is little reason to invest despite the name value. The same goes for Wilson, a £5.8m forward with just 72 points, 1.8 form, and only 1094 minutes. That combination of limited minutes and weak form is a red flag.
Walker-Peters is another one to leave alone. He is cheap at £4.2m, but 47 points in 1288 minutes is not enough to make him a serious FPL asset. He is simply behind stronger value options in the same squad.
Captaincy potential
This is straightforward. Bowen is the only West Ham player worth serious captaincy consideration. His 171 points, 7.0 form, and 3136 minutes make him the only reliable combination of ceiling and security. Nobody else in this squad has both the output and the role to justify the armband in normal gameweeks.
If you are buying West Ham, build around Bowen first. After that, Mavropanos and Diouf are the best defensive routes, while Fernandes and Souček are the standout differentials in midfield.
