Gakpo (LIV, £7.1m) leads the pack with a form score of 9.3, yet he sits in just 9.2% of squads. That combination of output and low ownership makes him one to watch if the numbers hold up over the next couple of gameweeks.
Bruno Fernandes (MUN, £12.0m) has a form of 8.3 and is already owned by 48.6% of managers, so his early returns are backed by heavy squad presence rather than a hidden pick.
Alexander Isak (LIV, £9.0m) posts a 7.7 form figure with 16.6% ownership. That’s a useful return for a forward at that price point, though two gameweeks is not enough to call it a pattern.
João Pedro (CHE, £7.7m) shows a 6.7 form and sits in 71.3% of teams, making him the most widely held name on this list. His form matches the price tag managers have already paid.
Tzolakis (HUL, £4.6m) rounds out the risers with a 6.7 form on just 7.8% ownership, a differential worth a second look given his budget price.
Fallers: names losing momentum
On the other side, four players owned by more than 5% of managers have form scores of 2 or below through two gameweeks.
- Donnarumma (MCI, £5.5m): form of 1.0, owned by 7.9% of squads.
- Van Hecke (TOT, £4.9m): form of 0.7, owned by 7.3%.
- Cash (AVL, £4.5m): form of 0.3, owned by 7.0%.
- E.Le Fée (SUN, £5.9m): form of 1.7, owned by 5.7%.
None of these figures tell us why output has been low, only that it has been. With just two gameweeks played, a single strong return could shift any of these numbers significantly, so treat them as a watchlist rather than a verdict.
Fade or hold dilemmas
Cash at 0.3 form and Van Hecke at 0.7 present the toughest calls. Both are still held by over 7% of managers, suggesting a chunk of the community is waiting for a bounce back rather than reacting to the early numbers. Given the sample size, patience for one more gameweek is defensible before making a call either way.
Donnarumma’s 1.0 form is a similar story. At £5.5m he remains a rotation option for budget-conscious squads, but the early data gives no reason to prioritize him over alternatives right now. With so little of the season played, the safest approach is to keep an eye on all four fallers rather than rushing to bench or sell before more evidence arrives.
